African continent

Support for African researchers.Go far together.

Bibby supports researchers across Africa with the same AI writing tools used elsewhere, continent pricing below the public Pro list, and up to 2 travel scholarships a year.

Ubuntu

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Ubuntu names the idea that a person becomes a person through other people. Bibby treats writing tools as something a research community holds in common.

Researchers elsewhere already use these AI writing tools. Researchers on the African continent should have the same ones, and a price that fits local budgets.

Where this duty comes from

Bibby's commitment to African research comes from time inside these communities. Helping that work reach a global audience is a core duty, not a side program.

Pricing

Publish below the public list price

The public Pro price is $16 a month, or $14 a month on the annual plan. That is the price other countries see on the pricing page.

Researchers based in Africa can ask for a coupon and for dynamic pricing below that list. The code is sent by email. It is not printed on this page, because the price is set for the person and the country.

Travel

Up to 2 scholarships a year

Each year Bibby awards up to 2 travel scholarships for African researchers who have work to present and cannot cover the trip. The limit is two. A year with fewer awards is still within the program.

A scholarship is financial help to attend. It is not acceptance of the paper, a visa, or a reserved talk.

Apply for a scholarship

Ask for continent pricing or a travel scholarship

Three steps. The free editor is open now. The coupon and the scholarship are requested, not automatic.

  1. 01

    Start the paper

Open a free account and draft in the editor. Citations, templates, and compile are in the same project.

  2. 02

    Ask for the continent price

Email [email protected] from an address at an African institution. Ask for a coupon and for dynamic pricing below the public Pro list.

  3. 03

    Apply for a travel scholarship

If the conference trip is the barrier, apply on the travel grant page. Bibby awards up to 2 of these scholarships each year.

Questions

Who is this page for?
Researchers across the African continent who are writing papers, theses, and conference submissions for a global audience.
How does continent pricing work?
The public Pro price is $16 a month, or $14 a month on the annual plan. Researchers based in Africa can email [email protected] for a coupon and for dynamic pricing below that public list. The code is not printed here, because the price is set for the person and the country.
How many travel scholarships are there?
Up to 2 each year. They are for conferences a researcher would otherwise find hard to attend for financial reasons. Apply on the travel grant page.
Does a scholarship mean the paper is accepted?
No. Bibby helps you write, cite, and format. The venue decides acceptance. A scholarship is financial help to attend. It is not a visa, and it is not a promise of a talk.
